Civil Law 民法概要

The applicability of civil law is related to our daily lives, and it includes food, clothing, accommodations, and transport. At the end of this course, students are expected to understand the legal principles and basic rules of civil law, and to be capable of analyzing the law and protecting their own rights.


Money and Banking 貨幣銀行學

In this course we will identify ways in which money influences economic variables that affect our daily lives, such as economic activity, prices, and interest rates. We will examine the role played in the financial system by financial markets and financial institutions, and how financial markets and financial institutions work in the economy. We will discuss the Central Bank and the conduct of monetary policy. We focus on tools for analyzing information and making decisions, and the mechanics of money, financial system, and the economy.

  1. To familiarize students with the basic concepts and practices of advertising.

Practice of International Business 跨國經營管理實務

The study and practice of Transnational Corporate Management is about educating the students in the knowledge of the governance for TNC and the skills for actual management. It is designed to cultivate student abilities to face the tide of globalization and conquer the difficulties in business across different countries and cultures to create business opportunities. Furthermore, the ability for innovation is trained. The practice of management operation is specially emphasized, not only the understanding of related theories but also the skill in programing strategy and tactics. The actual case-study covers not only the cases from economically-advanced countries such as Japan, the US, and the EU countries, but also the newly developed and developing countries such as the countries in the Asia Pacific, S. American and Russian areas as well. To adjust the strategies to match the differences of business cultures across these countries and to master the skills for an activate management are the points to be covered in the frame-work.


Investment 投資學

Investment usually refers to financial investments. It covers a wide range in the financial and investment markets. In addition to the traditional Equity Securities (Stock) market and the Fixed-income (Bonds and Notes) market, it also includes Financial Derivatives. This course aims to analyze the investment practices and the evaluation of various securities in Taiwan financial market, and further leads into the concept of innovation securities. In teaching, besides explaining the general theory, we will also focus on the current practice, introduction, and simulations of Taiwan’s financial markets. We hope that in this way, students will gain knowledge of financial investments to be helpful in their working career.


Corporate Internships in International Business 企業實習

The goal of this course is to serve as a link between students’ interdisciplinary knowledge learned in the classrooms and practical talents needed in a multinational enterprise or domestic company. Specifically, this course’s learning objectives are that students should be able to: (1) develop capabilities in critical and creative thinking, (2) facilitate the learning of interdisciplinary knowledge, (3) enhance collaboration and leadership skills, and (4) strengthen communication and presentation techniques.


Elementary Japanese in Business 基礎商用日文

This course starts from basic「a, i, u, e, o」and focuses on oral practice in order to orientate students toward “living” Japanese study.


Strategic Brand Management 品牌策略管理

The course objectives are:

  1. To help students embrace prevailing strategic issues of brand management facing today’s business world, as well as non-profit organizations, and political/social movements.
  2. To help students understand and establish a comprehensive yet concise frameworks for decision-making with regard to brand strategies and tactics.
  3. To prepare students to be capable of dealing with strategic management challenges in the future through analytical mindset and skills for viable and sensible solutions.


Marketing and Customer Experience Management 行銷與顧客經驗管理

Through the discussion and practices in this course, students will have a deeper understanding of how to become an outstanding marketing manager. In addition, through the discussion of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things, students will be capable of fostering the capability and planning of their future when facing the global economic development trends during the next 5 to 10 years.


Microeconomics 個體經濟學

The purpose of this course is to inquire into consumer and producer behavior, especially the different pricing strategies producers adopt when facing different industrial structures. This course is about the fundamental theories in Economics; thus, completing this course will be helpful when studying Industrial Organization Strategies and Management, Marketing, etc. in the future.


Macroeconomics 總體經濟學

This course will provide students with knowledge about national economic structures. Topics include: GDP, GNP, interest rates, tax rates, exchange rates, commodity prices and unemployment, and their relationships with each other. As a result, we can further discuss the influences on the national economy when global economic trends change.


Corporate Public Relations 企業公共關係

The course objectives are to provide students the capability of planning public relations activities by themselves, the knowing of the importance of public relations ethics and social responsibility, and their life planning concepts.


Strategic Management 策略管理

n this course, students will familiarize themselves with the formulation, implementation and control of strategies in every hierarchical layer in an organization through theory and practice. We hope students will become effective strategy planners and executors through exercises in individual cases and through our interactive teaching approach.


The Innovation and Development of Service Industry 服務業創新與發展

The course aims at the general and innovative principles in the service industry, and the preparation for students entering the future job market.


Management Practice 經營管理實務

This course aims to train students with the capabilities of solving “new” problems and having competitive advantages. Through long-term management practice experiences in industry, I am deeply aware of the future management trends and demands for businesspersons; thus, the teaching approach and the expectation for student learning outcomes would be the opposite of many traditional theoretical-only approaches. Our weekly classes will include lectures with intensive and innovative content, and also look at logic reasoning and the cultivation of important characteristics. Besides individual case training, systematic interactive teaching will also be linked in this course in order to let students gain inspiration from learning. Students will understand the general theory and the practice skills by this study, and further learn the characteristics related to successful management, culminating in their becoming excellent businesspersons with competitive advantages.


Financial Markets 金融市場

The main idea of this course is focused on the “National Financial Market”, and we expect students to acquire practical traits by putting their study into actual practice. The objectives of this course are not only on realizing the market situation, but to focus on management values while combining them with investment theory, and further providing practical analytic tools with feasibility. Student can then build their skills to anticipate and capitalize on national financial market trends.


Financial Derivatives 衍生性金融商品

In this course, we will introduce the content, transactional strategies and evaluation methods of the main financial derivatives contracts.


Application of Internet Marketing and E-Shop Management 網路行銷與網店經營管理實務

The Internet is the biggest market in the world, but most students do not have practical experience in operating online stores and resources in order to integrate and apply online marketing. After the rise of the social networking revolution, various types of models for starting businesses and online marketing skills for online stores popped up. This course will start from individual cases, move on to theory and practices, and further introduce internet marketing skills, understand and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of every internet marketing method by characteristics of e-commerce when processing online transactions. Students will also understand the influences of the Internet and cell phones in this digital era.


Social Responsibility and Business Ethics 企業社會責任與倫理

The purpose of this course is to clarify the fundamental rules of social responsibility and business ethics, and discuss the ethical dilemmas facing every managerial decision.


Project Management 專案管理

To adjust in diversified operating environments, corporations depend on flexible and highly efficient integrated management skills. Due to the influences of gradually emphasized individual customer demand and satisfaction, firms should plan and integrate business resources in order to obtain competitive advantages like speed, cost, quality, and satisfying customer needs through project management. Thus, project management is now an indispensable management skill in organizations.

However, according to the outcomes of many professional research reports, the chances of failure of project management are still high, and the main reason is poor project leadership and team management. Therefore, we will introduce the structures, procedures, and methods of project management. Students will be able to be project team members and further lead the project with the knowledge of project management procedures in every stage through exercises in this course.


Technology and Innovation Management 創新管理

In this course, we will introduce many types of static and dynamic innovation theory models to analyze key factors of enterprise proficiency and relationships with each factor. After studying the related innovation theory, there will also be case studies and written reports in order to improve student innovation management ability.


Brand Management 品牌管理

Through the brand management structures, theory and case study, students will understand the essentials, strategic and logic thinking of brand management, and further develop their ability to solve cases related to brand management.


Seminar on Straits Business 兩岸經貿專題

The purpose of this course is to help students understand the interaction and development of Straits business from the past to the future. Students will develop a general understanding of China’s economic development through our introduction, and then we will discuss the competitive-cooperative relationships and the influences on Taiwan’s economy of economic and trade structures across the Strait.


Seminar on International Finance 國際金融專題

In the past 20 years, the development situation of international finance was mainly due to the issues like influences of globalization, regional economy and trade, and financial cooperation. After the financial crisis in 2008, the crisis had spread from the United States and Europe to the world, and it also spread to the real economy, which caused different levels of impacts and influences on every country in the world. Financial crises are the result of continuous accumulation and intensification of internal contradictions in long-term international finance structure development process, and it will go through the adjustment of international finance structures in the form of financial crises at the end. Taiwan pursued financial liberalization, modernization and internationalization in the 1980s; thus, the national macroeconomic environment was certainly affected by the financial crisis’s impact. Students in this course are expected to connect international financial knowledge, discovery, written expression, logical thinking, and ability to communicate and analyze theory with team members, in order to improve students’ understanding of the breadth in this field, and to train students’ analysis and writing skills.


Workplace Experience and Internship 職場體驗與實習

In this course, students will be able to combine knowledge learned in school with workplace experience, and they will also be encouraged to set up learning directions and goals.
